...well, at least there wasn't too much pushing and shoving going on.
These photos were taken tonight, when a lot of food has been hoovered up although I haven't personally seen any other hogs out there.
I need my video camera back again. Unfortunately there's no news on that at the moment.

Lovely photos. The colours of the hedgehogs are really, really nice. Great to see them together.
ReplyDeleteNice to see a couple together. Your camera supplier is taking his time.
ReplyDeleteYes. I've just sent an email off chasing it up.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. What sort of camera did you use?
ReplyDeleteWe quite often have two or three hoggies snuggled up around the food bowl, and rarely see much argument. However, tonight a couple of them have had a right old barging match.
Hi Kevin
ReplyDeleteMy camera is a Canon IXUS 8215. It was the best camera I could get for my budget when I was shopping for one at about this time last year. It's not bad. I'd like to have more optical zoom capability, but that's about it. The macro feature is also very good.
You are doing very well with it then. I thought you might be using an SLR. I don't seem to do as well in the dark with my little bit older Fuji, or maybe you can get closer to your guests than I can to ours.
ReplyDeleteI think you're better off with a "compact", although I haven't done anything like as well as GL when I tried it with mine. We don't have much light in our garden and the camera (a Canon A630) has real problems focusing in the very low light. If I turn on the focus assist light it frightens the hedgie. I did try my SLR, with manual focus, but the clunk of the shutter/mirror frightened the hedgehogs even worse!
